Life nahin hai ladoo...but it can be a cake if you will!

When in our blues we wonder at times that life could be so dull and it ain't easy. However, I think it's upto us to make it feel like a yummy cake.
I realized that recently when I made some new friends. The chemistry I shared with them was amazing. We clicked instantly and our wavelengths matched to this extent that I am now known as the other devilish half of this babe who can't stop being a little devil herself.

This revelation came to be at our remarkably, unforgettable Sanibel-Captiva Islands trip. The awesome Five-some who set out to have some serious fun in the Islands, were mostly newly aquainted to each other. Considering this, we started out being nice to each other. We finally made it to the islands, but due to the agony of the weather gods we couldn't accomplish what we had come for. With much high hopes to parasail or snorkel what we ended up doing was 'nothing'. However, we are the "Never Give up Group", so inspite of the adverse conditions, we still splashed some water at the beach. The point to be noted is that only one of us could actually swim in the ocean, so literally the rest of us were just splashing water at each other and feeling exhilerated. But that's how we are, no matter what the weather, you must enjoy!

We spent most of the time giving each other a hard time. By the end of the trip we had no inihibitions at all and were not shy to stop the car next to the road and dance on full-volume music. Dancing on the roof of our rental car was the highlight of the finale for the trip. Well I must confess who did that - me and this became the highlight of the trip and a topic for the rest of my friends to conjecture on.

So by the end of this trip I had names (to humor us) for each one of us.
Ms. Nikita aka Parliament Speaker (since when she speaks no other person can ope' their mouth, an awesome, forceful public speaker I would say).
MG, our reporter who covered the entire dance bash on camera with a detailed commentary in hindi.
'Cool Dude' Rahul who found the place very 'laid back' by his standards yet didn't lose the chance to dance given an opportunity to.
Puneet our camera shy Jamaican look-alike, Geoffrey Boycott and many other names I can think of, considering his flair to change accents and mimic just about anyone. Even Laloo Prasad Yadav is on that list.
I, well given a chance to be on the camera, I couldn't stop acting like a big-shot, so you could call me a celebrity-wannabe.

Whenever I feel low I think of this awesome trip. Probably the most fun I ever had. My other partners in crime would agree on that. The Charlie's Angels and the "Charlies" will remain unforgetable. The wonderful times shared have been etched in my memory for time-immemorial. It reminds me that yeah, life is like a cake, with the icing sprinkled with other nuts like me. Once you can find more nuts like yourself, the cake will always taste better.
