Today was dull with rainy weather, no sunshine and rather mundane and ordinary routine. Nothing out of the ordinary had been happening lately. In my mind, I was scrambling for the weekend. I was hoping that may be the weekend will have more sunshine and something better and more exciting to look forward to. And then something happened that just brought a smile and a few tears at the same time.
A little girl was around and all day was just busy playing around with her friend. I hardly had anytime to spare for her. All in all we did some origami together and then it was time for her to go home. Just before leaving with her Mom, she stopped, came back, hugged me and then walked away.
This little gesture got me thinking. Little children have their hearts filled with unconditional love and clarity. No calculations, no manipulations. If you like or love someone just a small hug, a small gesture says it all. They don't hold up their feelings. What happens to us, the adults, along the way as we grow older? Where does this little child get lost? Why can we not smile and slow down to smell the roses? Why can we not enjoy the "now" and be happy and recognize all the love floating around us disguised in unimaginable ways?
If only we kept this child within us alive, this world would seem a more wonderful and a much more happier place to live in.

reminds me of sumthing i scribbled yrs bak:
"wen v wer small, we didnt remember d time we had fights, wen we grow up we dun remember d time wen we smiled..."
children r true meanings of words 'Innocence','Pristine', 'purity'.
they make us realise d vices in us, dey make us introspect, ponder, bout our own tainted, corrupted life n leave us spellbound, clueless wid der sweet gestures n words which truly have no sophistication at all.
Being Simple is Being happy
i forgot to tell..
"never let the child in you to grow up :)"
that is profound. but the million things that cloud our minds on a day to day basis makes the child lock herself down and detach herself and disappear into a room that will never be unlocked.
wen a child wants to hide himself, or wants not to be seen, or wants to avoid d world, he doesnt locks him self in a room, bt he jst closes his eyes or hides them behind his palms.....
nobody really can unlock tht room bt d child himself has to open his eyes, n tell d world tht he sees it nt d way it is, bt d way he wants it to b seen.
grt men dun do different things, dey jst do it differently.... to face those million things all u need is a sweet lil cherubic smile, n everythin will straighten up in d end....
if it doesnt its nt d end...
so keep smilin :)
